"Absolutely lovely hotel in a stunningly restored Renaissance palazzo. We booked for one night and ended up staying three nights. Spotless clean, excellent service, and tasteful rooms in a scenic little town with few tourists. Ideal for day trips to Asti, Alba, Fossano, Cuneo, and other culturally relevant sites in the Piemonte. We fell in love with Mondovi, its excellent restaurants, and the calm genius loci. "Spent 4 nights at Hotel Calissano in August while doing wine tours. Chose it based on a recommendation from the tour guide and it did not disappoint. Staff was very friendly at the reception, the bar, and the restaurant. It is a five minute walk to the pedestrian zone of Alba so the location is excellent and easily accessible. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station. My room was a good size and very comfortable. Despite being next to the elevator, it was very quiet. Would happily recommend Hotel Calissano and will stay there again the next time I am in Alba."
