"This place is a gem. The owners are warm, welcoming and very helpful, and so are the rest of the staff. The place is reminiscent of the best of a traditional guest house, but with a modern clean feel. The amenities in the room were plentiful, and with the guests’ comfort in mind. "When we arrived we were put on the 2nd floor but the lift wasn't working thankfully the staff carried our suitcases up, got to our room seemed ok .nice and warm but what we didn't realise at the time the heating had just gone off and later we found out it comes on full with no chance of turning it off and your can't open the windows. "Room was clean although a horrible (historic) mark on the carpet near the desk - why do they not trouble to clean it. Bedside lamp was too far to be any good for reading and not movable. Like the photograph artworks throughout the building. Have stayed at Kingscliffe many times and find it convenient."
