Holiday Inn Steamboat Springs by IHG
8/10 Good
"Staff was excellent. Had to ask for towels each night we visited the pool & hot tub room. Unclear why that wasn’t planned better given it was ski season and everyone heads there at the end of the day.
The breakfast area, which may / may not be included with your room was very poorly staffed and the food was disappointing"
"The office staff were amazing and made our stay really special. They were fantastic with great recommendations for restaurants in the area and super informative about events and activities in town.
Our room was perfect! Amazing river view with a nice little balcony, and two very comfortable Queen size beds. The continental breakfast was delicious!
I would stay there again in a second! Great location, rooms, food and staff!"
"Hotel is beautiful. Elevators were amazing — large, fast, easy to use. Close to town.
Room did not get made up after a phone call and two opportunities.
Coffee pot in room was broken.
Water pressure and temperature variations in shower were bad.
Sounded like someone was drilling in the room next door."
"Dolores greeted us at the desk and was so kind to us. She gave us an upgrade which we enjoyed.
Loved the clean comfortable room.
The pool and hot tub were a hidden gem.
Located in the heart of downtown Steamboat within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Close to Fish Creek Falls.
A very lovely experience."
"Continental breakfast was pretty standard but food was good. Like most places it didn’t have any dairy free options for yogurt and milk and only pork options for meat. But what my kids ate they enjoyed.
The staff was very friendly and helpful."
"I think this hotel used to be a timeshare property. I love the architecture of the building and the amazing views from every single hotel room. The rooms are very large with plenty of storage space and the kitchenette is well stocked with glassware, plates, and other things you might need to cook in the room. Love all of these things about it, which is why I've stayed here twice. There are also some great lounge rooms on every floor where you can cozy up in a chair to watch the weather and read a book. However....
Getting into the hotel requires two flights of stairs. It is not ADA compliant. If you can't climb stairs or have a wheelchair or a stroller, be advised that getting in the building involves a lot of stairs. While I love this hotel, all of the furniture is very careworn. The hotel is older and run down, so if fine furnishings are important to you, this isn't your hotel. But... if you want a lot of space for storing your ski gear, this hotel is a great choice."
