My reservation did not show on the hotel system. 20 min lost in check in. Room full of ants. No water pressure. For a $150 night hotel it is terrible

Great Mal Pais Boutique Hotel

We really enjoyed our time at the Oasis. The room was clean and the hotel staff was very courteous. Our room had an external kitchen which was very handy for breakfast and lunch. Finally, this hotel is walking distance from the crossroad (la cruz) and many restaurants nearby. We did not have a car for this leg of our trip and it was not at all a problem. Highly recommended for a nice hotel that doesn't break the bank.

Very nice cozy peaceful hotel!

Walking distance to beach! Perfect pool area. Very friendly staff. No A/C, however it was still comfortable in the room with fans. The cabins are really cute and cozy, however WAY too many ants.

Creepy crawlies everywhere!!!!

Bugs, bugs, bugs!!!!! When you stay at a place where you want to fall also with the lights on because there is SO MANY critters crawling on the floor, walls and beds, it's probably best to just leave that place. That's exactly what the three of us did after only 30 minutes of being there. Luckily we found a room at Hotel Santa Teresa down the street with NO indoor critters. I understand it's a jungle outside but there's a big difference in well-keeping of hotels. On top of it, management refused to issue a refund after the ordeal. Possibly management preys on tourists to book and cancel. The best advice I can give it to not stay here....period.

Descanso Perfecto!

El lugar es muy lindo, muy tranquilo por lo que es perfecto para descansar! Las cabañitas estan perfectamente equipadas, en muy buen estado y limpias, de igual manera, las áreas comunes. Muy bien ubicado cerca de la playa y a pocos minutos de otras playas cómo Montezuma, Santa Teresa, etc. Tiene variedad de restaurantes y supermercados muy cerca. Allan, el chico de la recepción muy atento!

Bien el lugar es muy bonito pero tiene algunas partes del cedazo con huecos por lo que permiten entrar zancudos, necesita reparación y un poco más de campo de parqueo

Fast schon ein Houtique Hotel

Ideal in Laufweite zum Strand, auch zum Ort Mal Pais nur wenige Minuten. Zimmer der Bungalows sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche hat neben Toaster und Kaffeemaschine auch einen elektrischen Mixer und ist vollständig ausgestattet. Es gibt insgesamt 3 Bungalows (gut mit Ventilatoren ausgestattet) und 2 Studios (die sind kleiner, haben aber Klimaanlage). Surfboard Verleih und auch Quad Verleih. Hängematten auf der persönlichen Terrasse, so lassen sich auch Regentage gut überstehen!

Great place, perfect location!

My husband and I loved staying here for two nights while passing through Mal Pais. It was low season, so the price was amazing. The bungalow was very spacious and clean and they provide you with filtered bottled water, which was a plus. My favorite part was the hammock on the porch! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly- they offer motorcycles and ATV for rent- super fun! The beach access road is a very short walk, and getting into town is also very easy. Beautiful beach and fun town! We will definitely stay here again!

Satisfait mais pas émerveillé!

Très beau terrain remplis d'arbre, de fleu! Hôtel est un peu vieux! Il s'agit d'un resort de taille moyenne! Donc pas trop bondé Des rénovations sont nécessaires!

Peace & Comfort in Paradise

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Very friendly. They offered us assistance with renting a quad (which by the way was so much fun). No complains whatsoever. The hotel is located in Malpais in a little secluded location, which it was what I was looking for, but still the shopping center and "main commerce" area is like 5 min walking distance. The pool was very nice. You should try it! If you are looking for that kind of "paradise" feeling, this is your place
