“The rooms are basic and clean. We only needed a place to rest after a long flight so this was a good option just 30 minutes from LIR airport. Check in was easy and quick. Our kids enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed the lush garden and breakfast at the hotel. It is an older hotel with no elevators so if you're on the second floor like us, you'll have to carry your luggages up. We noticed little tiny ants inside the room. We found them in the bathroom and on the bed's comforter.”

“The staff was amazingly friendly, the food was wonderful and the only problem was in the steep climb to our room! A staff member took my bag to the room for me so all I had to do was get up there myself (luckily) I am sure younger people would not have a problem.”

“My husband and I had a wonderful two night stay. The cabina was clean, comfortable, private, and quiet. The buffet breakfast was perfect and dinners were delicious with a stunning view, beautiful sunsets, and fabulous service. All of the staff were helpful and kind. There were many activities to choose from and beautiful forest and farmland to explore. We had an especially enjoyable bird watching tour with Ruth. We will definitely return.”

“This is a beautifully-crafted, very clean hotel. The staff are helpful and kind. Breakfast is cooked to order with beautiful trays of fresh fruit and excellent coffee. The grounds are lovely, and all around are huge, magnificent trees full of many birds. One one side of the hotel is a market, and on the order side is a very good restaurant. There are several beaches nearby, but my favorite beach is a short drive north in the wildlife refuge.”

“Just a heads up for English speaking travelers, that only one peraon who worked there spoke a little English, which is understandable but just an fyi. It made check-in a little difficult. The shower did not really work. I was only there for a day. It is nice for a more rugged kind of place. A little run down, but unique. The people where nice and helpful despite the language barrier. Again, I am not saying the people who live in rual Costa Rica should know how to speak English of course, but...

“Beautiful property with a lot of activities to enjoy and magical sites to explore. This includes a pool, hiking trails, several waterfalls and natural pools in the river, and the hot springs and mineral mud. Nice variety of tours too- the horseback riding/ tubing combo trip was fantastic! We loved the convenience of everything on the property! The breakfast buffet was very good, beds were comfortable, and service was helpful. We liked it so much, we extended our stay.”

“We only stayed one night when travelling through, but wished we would have had more time to enjoy the horse riding and ziplines. The dinner and breakfast was prepared for us by wonderful staff, and they catered for vegan, vegetarian and carnivores in our family group, including our 2-yr old grandson. We enjoyed the pool and waterslide during our brief stop, and enjoyed walking around the property with company from the very friendly (but not in your face!) dogs. The only very small thing is the...
