Excellent hotel in a great location. Friendly staff, great amenities (highly recommend the spa), and always clean and tidy. We loved the use of organic foods and materials and the adjacent car is really nice. The only downfall is the noise from the street. We found it to be noisy most evenings and struggled to sleep.

A fantastic hotel, with character, a few steps from the train station. You feel like you are in Bali. The hotel is superbly eco-friendly. The breakfast is delicious and organic. Will definitely stay here again.

5 Stars – Excellent Hotel in a Fantastic Copenhagen Location! I had a wonderful stay at the Axel Guldsmeden Hotel in Copenhagen! One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its outstanding location, making it an ideal choice for anyone visiting this beautiful city. The hotel is conveniently located near Copenhagen Central Station, making transportation to and from the airport and throughout the city incredibly easy. There is an excellent selection of restaurants, cafés, and dining options within walking distance, along with fantastic shopping opportunities. Many of Copenhagen’s most popular attractions are also easily accessible, including the beautiful King’s Garden, the famous Tivoli Gardens, and the city’s shopping districts. I would highly recommend Axel Guldsmeden to anyone planning a trip to Copenhagen. An excellent location, convenient transportation, and easy access to everything this wonderful city has to offer. I would absolutely consider staying here again!

Our first time in Copenhagen and we struck gold with Axel Guldsmeden (Axel Goldsmith). A stone’s throw from the central station meant our trip to the airport was one stop and in total 20 relaxed minutes including the walk. Also we ventured over the big bridge by rail to Malmo, and also nipped up to Hummelbaek for the Louisiana art and sculpture centre. Right next to the tivoli and uncountable cafes and restaurants you cannot get a better location. However the highlight of this hotel is not its location, nor its beautiful lobby and restaurant - it is the 100% hygge design of the room. We had a suite and felt so at home. We are missing the toiletries and all of the Eco scents already. The room so so well designed we felt so at home. Sad to leave after 7 lovely days. Great coffee in the room. We recommend RUG nearby and Coffee First.

The pro's great location ..... train station 5 min walk, lot's of Restaurants, Cafe's around the area. Nice room with balcony overlooking the courtyard. The negative .... the room had a slight sewage smell.... probably that was the reason for the exhaust fan to be running 24/7. Made a request for a 2:45am wake up service .... NO CALL ..... night cleaner located front desk clerk .... according to the clerk he was busy doing something ????

One of the most charming boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Every amenity thought of and superbly done. The Balinese decor was very boho chic. The staff was outstanding, helpful with recommendations and friendly. Rooms are small, but so comfortable and attractive. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

i like the rustic nature aesthetic, however, the room could be designed much better. for example, I could not charge my phone next to me since there were no outlets near the bed. also the room felt like there was no ventilation, so I had to open the patio door for air, which is fine, I'm just not sure if I would like to stay here during summer. out of all the hotels I stayed at, Axel had the best bike rentals because they look well maintained. the best thing about this hotel is the location, I liked that this hotel is about a block away from the main Copenhagen train station, which gives you the option to take the metro or train to the airport. I would actually recommend taking the train instead since it's direct, whereas with the metro, you would need to transfer. bottom line, you have options which came in handy for me because part of the metro was down during my arrival, so I still arrived to the hotel pretty quickly.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room had everything you needed, was a good size, well presented and quiet. The property was located perfectly to explore the area and in very close proximity to the rail station to explore the surrounding areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
