“Did not like sliding barn door for bathroom. No privacy. Was beside bed”

“My room was spacious and well-equipped. The staff was amazing. The property is under renovation and will be great when it's finished, but during my stay, the pool was closed, the breakfast wasn't fully-stocked , and the entrance was through the back. A poor first impression, but I'm expecting good things, and the experience was a mostly-pleasant one, all things considered....so much so that, if the price were to remain the same, post renovation, I'd definitely consider staying there again.”

“Room was basic and clean. We were there only one night and it was just what we needed. Breakfast was disappointing. I wouldn’t count on it being enough if you want more than a bagel. There was no liquid creamer which was odd to me but the dining area was clean.”

“Don't overlook this one. With fresh renovations and a convenient bar/restaurant on site, it truly feels upscale. The rooms are average, but freshly updated and so quiet. The staff is all lovely and the pool area seemed very nice though I did not come prepared to swim. Sadly, I would likely never find myself in Statesville again, but I'm very happy that I chose this Sonesta Select. I was not traveling with my pup this time, but they seem very pet-friendly without sacrificing the clean feel.”

“Very nice, clean, and well-maintained hotel! The afternoon/early evening desk clerk was uber nice, friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice and clean. Everything was top notch. The only thing that was a little odd was the morning desk clerk had stepped away at 10:45 am (of all times!) and left a key deposit box out. That doesn't work for me. I want the personal hand-off to satisfy my OCD. I had someone to alert her and I waited. Not a complaint, just an observation. EXCELLENT property in...
