The Appalachian chalet was beautiful. It was modern, well-designed, cozy, plenty of space for our needs, and most of all the accessibility was such a relief for our son who was waiting to have surgery for a broken leg. The fact that he could get around easy and have a comfortable shower was definitely a plus. The kids want to go back again. They loved the fact that although it’s very close to the city, it seemed like we were in the middle of a forest. We will most definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed to do some nordic skiing at the Blow me Down Trails. It was a great location - about a 3 or 4 minute drive to the trails and only a 5 min drive to downtown. Chalets are well equipped, new, and very comfortable. We would stay again.

Unit itself was roomy, clean and had all the basic cooking/bathroom amenities, but no extras as compared to many other rentals we’ve stayed.
Area around the property is a completely commercial/industrial zone right off the highway, but this is not visible from the chalet (there is no view from the chalet other than the lawn and parking lot).
Communication with the property was very poor - got a call from a woman at the property on day of check-in indicating they hadn’t received my signature on their ‘Terms & Conditions’ document (never been asked to do this in years of travelling internationally) and she had not even read the 2 emails I sent the previous evening that explained I had no correspondence asking for this signature. Had to deal with this on my cell phone while travelling.
On the same phone call, I indicated we preferred to use a different credit card than at time of booking for the deposit and accommodation charges - she took the number over the phone and yet the property charged the original card incorrectly.
Same women told us we would be in the ‘blue’ chalet - upon arrival, we tried the lock code and it didn’t work. We tried calling and the office was closed at 4pm on Saturday so we were directed to leave a message. We managed to deduce from the confirmation message that we were in ‘Chalet 3’ (blue was the second one), tried the code on the 3rd unit from the end and it worked. Our confirmation had the wrong wifi password but once again, we solved ourself.
