"We had a wonderful stay at Mount Royal Hotel. Waking up to the castle view every morning was truly special, and the staff were consistently warm and welcoming. The room was quite small, with limited storage and no refrigerator. We paid an extra £20 per night for the castle view, and for us, it was worth it. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the strong musty smell in the shower room, which was unpleasant throughout our stay."

"Stayed for our silver wedding anniversary and glad we chose the Apex Waterloo. Check in was easy and friendly, Room was very nice, clean, spacious and well equipped. Wonderful reception lady came and brought us a bottle of Prosecco on ice with 2 glasses on the house which was a lovely gesture Pool and Spa was lovely and relaxing and for an early Sat evening we had it to ourselves. The lady managing the Spa was wonderfully polite and kind. The bar staff were friendly. Overall a great hotel, yes price was high, but mid July, excellent proximity to city centre, train station etc and special occasion the Apex Waterloo was an excellent choice and would definitely recommend"

"Hotel is lovely and clean the beds are so comfy and cosy had best nights sleeps Having the a/c was great. Staff were very friendly. The only downside I felt was the having to order at the table for food and drink for evening meal . It’s a faff much prefer service at the table . Will eat out next time . Breakfast was lovely buffet style but only scrambled eggs on offer which was downside for us . Will definitely stay again . Ideal location too"

"The stand out was the service. Friendly staff and excellent service. Room service was speedy and if you had breakfast included there was no extra charge. We had an issue with our TV and someone was there within 2 mins. The amenities in the bathroom smelt gorgeous. Loved the variety in the mini bar. Good size mugs for a cuppa. Only down side was the water pressure in the shower."
