Great Visit to Crema

We loved our stay at San Clemente B&B. Great space, beds, breakfast and communication with the host. Nicely located on the pedestrian zone in Crema and east to access Milan and other surrounding sights.

Lovely but be proactive about how you check-in

Our room (Chicago) was a spacious, clean, and welcoming suite, overlooking the streets of Crema and facing a church (note: bells begin around 7am). The decor blends modern comfort with traditional Italian charm, highlighted by wooden beams and doors opening to a picturesque view. Do take care with rugs on wooden floors, as they can slip easily. Breakfast, delivered to the room, was excellent—a generous spread of fresh fruit, bread, croissants, jams, juices, tea, and coffee. B&B San Clemente is perfectly located in the heart of Crema, just steps from shops, restaurants, and historic landmarks. Fans of Call Me By Your Name will enjoy nearby filming locations, and the train station is only a 15-minute walk. Be aware: Access can be tricky if you arrive unannounced. Confirm your arrival time as instructed in your booking, as we still waited outside about 15 minutes despite doing so. Unlike hotels, you cannot simply walk in. Once checked in, the host was warm and welcoming. We were also given a different check-out time than listed on our Hotels.com confirmation. Overall, despite a couple of small points to improve, our stay was delightful. San Clemente is an excellent base for exploring Crema and a highly recommended choice.

Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Ort, um Crema zu erkunden. Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin lief problemlos per Whatsapp und auf Englisch. Das B&B liegt direkt in der Innenstadt und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Obwohl in der ZTL (Einfahrtsverbot für Unbefugte) gelegen sind es nur 100m zum nächsten kostenpflichtigen Partkplatz, so dass wir unser Gepäck ohne Probleme in das Appartement bringen konnten. Unser Appartement war sehr groß, ordentlich eingerichtet und sauber. Das Bad war auch gut eingerichtet. Leider war während unseres Aufenthalts die Klimaanlage etwas überfordert, was keine wirkliche Kritik sein soll. Die Außentemperaturen waren extrem, daher hätten wir uns über einen kleinen Kühlschrank gefreut. Das Frühstück entsprach italienischem Standart (Croissant, Brötchen, Obst, Saft und Kaffee). Insgesamt war es für uns die beste Wahl, Crema zu erkunden.

Dejlige Crema

Perfekt beliggende til at udforske Crema. Fantastisk hjælpsomme og søde mennesker vi var i kontakt med. Dejlig stor lejlighed. Parkering er 2-3 minutters gang væk og er offentlig, men gratis. Ekstra sengen var meget hård, der manglede noget komfort. Morgenmaden serveres på værelset, eller på tagterrassen. Desværre er den, for danske standarder, mangelfuld. Det er dog svært at have det som kritik punkt, da det nok er meget typisk for italienere. Vil dog stadig anbefale stedet til alle som skal udforske Crema. Til dem som kommer grundet filmen “Call me by your name”, så fik vi oplyst at castet havde boet i denne Bed & Breakfast.

We had such a great experience at this B&B! Arlene was a wonderful host to us and went above and beyond with tips and recommendations for places for us to go, as well as getting us set up with bikes to use for a day. I truly couldn't recommend this place more, and I can't wait to come back again!

There are not enough words to describe how incredible this stay was. I will return to this BnB anytime I am in the area-- I am already planning a return trip with my family. The staff was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and kind to me throughout my entire stay (which I extended; that's how wonderful it was). Staff was available before my trip to help answer questions and help book activities and transfers. They were even ready with ideas and suggestions that I had not thought of. They are a wealth of information and know all the secrets!! Upon my arrival, everything went smoothly and I immediately felt welcomed (like I was at home; part of the family). The rooms are beautiful and well kept, most with great views, a terrace, or balcony. Throughout my stay, staff continued to be helpful, and booked dinner reservations and activities when needed. They even helped me meet a few new friends, which made the stay that much more enjoyable. Breakfast is/was provided; it is homemade and was delicious every time. The location is amazing and centrally located in Crema near plenty of shops and food options. Other sites are within driving distance. I highly recommend this BnB to anyone looking for a true Italian experience. Arlene and her team are wonderful, they make you feel at home, and they make sure your experience is exceptional. You will not regret any minute of your stay. A huge huge huge shout-out to the entire team. I can't wait to go back!!
