"The very best possible place to stay in Normandy! The manoir is exquisite, old elegance with a fresh look. The grounds are large and well groomed. Madame Poisson, our hostess, is fabulous, and worth a stay there just to meet her. She was the mayor for 31 years, is so very bright and interesting and charming. "We have thought hard about this review because the people that run the hotel are very nice people who are very welcoming. Despite the language barrier Ginette was great and spoke better English than we did French. However, the issues were with the room itself. When we entered the room it actually looked great with the bedroom being separate and up one flight of stairs but there was a damp musty smell that we thought may have just been from being closed. "I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay here. Both Fred and Isabel were amazing! The location is perfect to visit all of the D-Day memorials. Beach hotel with an excellent restaurant
"Many local folks and tourists seem to come to this hotel for dinner. I recommend it for dinner too, excellent food. The location is right on the beach. The only inconvenience is access to certain rooms, which has to be through the restaurant, which is really weird, especially when I had to take my dog out and had to squeeze between the tables. Recommended otherwise. "
