“One of a kind place amidst forest and reserve. Wood cabins gave a wonderful feel and the stay was very comfortable. It has all the necessities, and they also provide room service cleaning. Lots of animals and birds that you can see within the property. We saw Toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, spider monkeys, agouti etc. Would definitely come back!”

“Kids voted this the best place we stayed! They enjoyed having their own private mezzanine complete with bean bags and games. We enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings. Basic supplies like coffee and cooking oil provided do you can easily self cater. ”

“Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather.”

“I had an absolutely amazing stay. I loved the common areas! Spent tons of time in the hanging chairs reading and enjoying the view. Great proximity to the town, most dinner places/restaurants are walkable. My personal room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was great! Everyone was very friendly and genuinely wanted to help. I missed my bus back to the airport and Ro at the front desk immediately helped me come up with a new plan based on the local resources and even called me a taxi and...

“We loved our stay at your spacious little apartment. The room was perfect and the plants and trees there were beautiful. Our host, Arelys, was very knowledgeable and helpful in planning our outings. Her experienced husband took us on a night walk in the cloud forest and taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna. It was very educational and a lot of fun. Pura Vida! ”

“Breakfast was wonderful. Great location. Amenities and room were all top notch. Also have a very reasonably priced same day laundry service that was a great perk for halfway through our trip. The lower rooms are a little noisy with street noise overnight if you sleep with the window open, but hotel provides earplugs. Overall a lovely stay. ”

“Here’s a sharper complaint: > This property is a family-run B&B, not a 4-star hotel. With only 6 rooms, the experience was far below what was advertised and what the Expedia/Google listings led us to expect. Our room had an extremely loud creaking floor, which made it feel cheap and poorly maintained. It may be acceptable for some travelers, but for the price, it was not worth it and definitely not the upscale stay we were looking for. ”

L'ambiance est plutôt calme et axé sur de belles habitudes de vie saine. Le café/ restaurant adjacent est vraiment délicieux!! Une fois stationné, tout est accessible à pied. Notez que la ville de santa- Elena est en montagne. ”

“This property was good for the price. It’s clean and comfortable. The property is dated but the owners really make this property a very nice stay. They are very accommodating and also helped with booking our tram reservation and provided recommendations for local eateries. We would stay again. Keep I mind if you have difficulty with stairs ask for the bottom floor rooms. Pura vida”

“Great staff, super helpful and very kind. The room was up to date, with many well placed outlets and a relatively newly remodeled bathroom. We had a very good experience at this hotel. Two suggestions: newer towels and an extra wastebasket.”
