The property was being used as a homeless shelter, this should always be disclosed to the public.When we arrived there were 2 police cruisers and officers dealing with a family outside the lobby. The desk clerk insisted that we did not have reservations even though we did. Then when I retreived the confirmation from my car and he ran it through the computer It said my name ,but all the other info was wrong and he said, "just sign it!" which I would not. It took over 40 minutes to clear this up. The room was old ,run down and the corridors smelled terrible, like B.O. This is no fault of expedia, however, I highly recommend you to take this hotel off your booking site. Very disappointed, Christine Hall

Half of it is a shelter program

Not-so-good. Heater in room did not work. This place uses the top two floors as a shelter of some sort, homeless or whatever. Whoever's administering the shelter program does a good job, and has a presence in the lobby. It was well organized. But really, how can a place advertise as a hotel when half of it is a shelter? I am used to cheap places in dodgy neighborhoods and shabby outdated rooms, but I'm afraid I will never get used to misleading advertising.

Disappointed that no substitute was offered for breakfast. Think no carpeting is less comfortable. Lobby a little confusing....understandable if property was being offered as a shelter....but no explanation.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and there was very little noise at night. This made for a good sleeping environment. I feel that the Super 8 provided an excellent value for my money. The hotel appearance is somewhat outdated. The paint colors are drab. These are the only negative comments.

The place was very dirty. The elevator was horrible, I brought my puppy with me and I didn't even like him walking inside the elevator. However, the staff at the front desk were very nice!

Welcome to Danbury

Hotel was nice for Super 8. Manager was super newest and helpful! Wall are extra thin so you hear everything, and I mean everything! Other than that great stay.
