"Clean large room with terrace with a great seaview love come back here in the summer for walks and bike riding. Lovely area not been here for over 40 years since I left the Netherlands. Highly recommend this hotel for a longer stay, originally only booked for one night with booked another night straight away. Amazing for water sports. "Great location in center of Alkmaar! Shops & restaurants right outside the door. The hotel is beautiful and our room was great. The lofted room would not work well for someone with mobility challenges but worked well for us. Very responsive communication from the hotel! Would happily stay there again. "

"The hotel is tucked away in Bergen, which is a very beautiful little high-end village near Alkmaar, The Netherlands. We stayed only for one night -- 17 hours to be precise -- as part of a larger group gathering. The group dinner was held at the hotel, and it was outstanding and highly recommended. Staff are nice. We had booked a room for two persons. Our room clean and with two windows overlooking a beautiful courtyard, but it was rather small -- about two feet on one side of a queen-size bed and a three-feet-band passage on the other sides -- with rather minimalistic furnishings and space. We had no room and place to put our luggage or unpack the immediate necessities. If we stay there again, we will definitely urge for a larger room. "
