"Pool was very well maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful. Room was bigger than I expected. Room was clean. It took us a few to find the bathroom light switch but that was hilarious. And got a kick out of the phone. Excellent location and wonderful friendly staff. Definitely will stay here again. All in all fantastic experience. Loved that it was family owned and they really were super helpful and kind."
"Excellent location, staff was amazing, rooms could use a little updating. Loved the private beach with lounge chairs and food/drink service. Great for families."
"The B & B was wonderful. It was only about 2 blocks to the beach. We had access to a private beach owned by An English Garden Bed & Breakfast's sister hotel, By The Sea Guests Bed & Breakfast & Suites.
The staff at An English Garden Bed & Breakfast were amazing. Cal was incredibly accessible and responded to both calls and texts via his cell phone. There was a slow drain in the tub, which he fixed within an hour or so of my request. He was very knowledgeable about the area and was happy to offer advice on what to see and do around the Cape. He also was just a genuinely friendly person who cared about the guests.
Courtney and Cal made breakfasts including fluffy pancakes, French toast, omelets, lemon bread, muffins, and other items. Everything was delicious. Along with Cal and Courtney, Sofia was very helpful with advice on what to do and where to go, and Maria was helpful answering logistical questions over the phone before we arrived (as was Cal).
The B & B was very clean and updated. The breakfast room was bright and had nice views of the beach and flowers (many hydrangeas) around the property. The sitting room was very pleasant and quaint. The English Tea Set on the wall along the entryway by the stairs was a nice touch. Our room and balcony on the third floor overlooked the water, and what will be a nice park within a year or so, along with parts of the neighborhood. We highly recommend staying here (but hope it remains the hidden gem it is too!)."
"The room was very clean. Loved the shower room! Two outdoor pools and the hot tub were nice after a long day of riding bikes. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit area but it was nice with some yard games.
The check in was easy, nice little shop with coffee available in the morning. All staff members were friendly and helpful."
"When we arrived we had no power because of a power line issue. The front desk lady was amazing she showed us to our room and showed us all the amenities in our room. Our room was a deluxe 2 bedroom. Our room had full size fridge, washer and dryer, dishwasher. Bedroom 1 had king size. Bed bedroom 2 had a queen bed. There were 3 fireplaces. Livingroom was small but had a kitchen island with seats.
The pool was amazing. They have corn hole, basketball, and swings for kids.
The motel is pet friendly.
The hotel was newly purchased and they have put a lot of time and effort into the upgrades. Truly amazing.
We booked another stay, because it was so nice. The owner was really nice.
They even include beach towels in our room.
There was fire pits and bbq grills."
"The staff here was so kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was amazing all 3 days and the beach was very quiet and great waterfront. The section we stayed has not been updated like some of the other units but was fine and comfortable. The general location was good and easily walkable to food and drink places. Overall, we enjoyed it and would stay here again for sure."
