“Staff were so friendly. Stayed two nights with my 14 year old son. £10 for a leisure pass to use gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Pool tables and darts were available, lovely pub attached to the hotel with live sports and entertainment. 10 minute drive to pubs and restaurants although seen people order food to the hotel. 20 minute drive to Trentham monkey forest which was great, also drove past an ice cream parlour”

“good golf course, tennis court, rooms and buildings with full of historic scent. 30 minutes drive from Manchester airport. meeting rooms are cozy, but internet access with laptop inconvenient (smartphones are ok). breakfast was excellent and bar serves all kinds of nice cocktail.”

“We love this place and it's our second stay! The spa is lovely and helped us relax after a stressful M6 journey, The restaurant is epic and the chiefs modified menu items to suit a dairy allergy requirements. The old hall is incredibly beautiful and oozed history. If we ever win the lottery it will be our wedding venue! We will definitely back again.... Wish I was there now!!”

“Surpassed all expectations just about .. My only slight criticism was that the children’s pool access was restricted to 8:30–10:00am, which felt quite limiting. Trying to fit both breakfast and a family swim into that short window and all by 10am made the mornings feel a little rushed. Overall, though, we had a fantastic stay and somewhere we would happily return to.”

“The beds were comfortable and the room was clean enough for an overnight stay, which was ideal for being close to Manchester Airport. However, the room was extremely hot during our stay, with temperatures around 30°C. The air conditioning wasn’t working, and when we raised this, we were told that the hotel didn’t have air conditioning, despite there being air-conditioning units in the rooms. We were given a fan, but unfortunately the windows couldn’t be opened, so there was very little way of...

“Very reasonable price so gave this five stars as what you get for the money is all you need”

“Very dated. No usb chargers or even plug points near beds. Bathroom very old and feel dirty, even though they clean, due to how aged and worn out they are. Window lets in a lot of noise. Ok for a quick one night stay. On the plus side, staff was excellent and breakfast was great.”

“Expedia is misrepresenting the Club Plus room as an accommodation that can sleep 4. We booked it as such. However it can only sleep 2 adults in a king bed and 2 young children on small cots. We only found out when preparing to check in. Thankfully the staff caught the misrepresentation and secured us a second room. We ended up paying for that second room due to Expedia’s mistake.”
