"Property needed a deep clean. I sneezed a lot and had black dust come out of my nose. Heating didn’t work sometimes and the room was quite cold. I booked through Expedia and check out said 11 am and I wasn’t told any check out time by the owner. On the morning of check out a cleaner knocked at the door and we shouted we were still inside. "Warm welcome, we had a ground floor room so the view from the window was just trees however not offensive. The room was spotless, and had the usual tea/coffee supply, an iron and ironing board,tv and hairdryer Very comfy bed and an overall great experience Thank you ! "

"Enjoyed our stay at beamish Mary inn. 4 friends on a fishing trip Rooms are a good size. The staff and locals made you feel welcome. Food in hotel was good. Would stay again"

"We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to."

"Lovely welcome with help with bags offered without asking. Friendly check in and immediate help when our ‘phone wouldn’t work in the room (not that we needed it- apart from to call reception to book our hour slot in for the spa facilities). Good service for food and drink on the evening and a lovely breakfast. My only slight ‘gripe’ is the hour allocation for the use of the spa area. I understand it’s to keep the number of people in the area limited but we got a bright orange ‘all inclusive...

"Majority of staff seemed to be new and were still in the training progress so things took a little longer than expected but all very nice and I'm sure they will be great once trained up. Nice hotel."

"Stayed for 2 nights and could not fault the room and the breakfast was really good. However we decided to order a snack from the menu one evening. I ordered a sandwich, the menu stated fresh bloomer bread, brown or white, tuna, spring onion, mayonnaise and black pepper. When I received this it was 2 thin slices of 50/50 bread, no spring onion and the thinnest filling of tuna, more like spread. The charge for this was £8.00!! Definitely not worth the cost."

"A really lovely quiet hotel, there arent many in the area. All very clean, lovely bedroom and superb breakfast with a friendly smile. Checkin was smooth and the lady was really friendly and showed me to my room and also served me a few well poured guinness later that evening. Thank you i will certainly stay again. They didn't serve an evening meal but plenty of options not too far away."
