"The Lloyd Hoxton was great—beautiful design, helpful staff, and close to a tram that could take you to central station. For families, they even had a play area with mud kitchen! The breakfast buffet was delicious and good value for the cost. My room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and very nice. I do wish they offered a bathrobe and slippers for guests. The only real downsides to me were that the WIFI in my room wasn't as strong as I'd hope. For example, FaceTime calls were spotty. As a first-time visitor, I also found it a bit of a trek to get to some of the tourist attractions and wish I stayed more central (the other Hoxton was all booked up). I'd recommend staying at this location if it's not your first time in Amsterdam and you want to be in a less touristy area. Still, lovely hotel, helpful staff, and good value overall."

"My first hostel experience and I was pleasantly surprised by encounters I had with other travelers. My pod was very comfortable. I have nothing negative to report. The BUNK has my vote and I will pass the experience on to friends and family."

"Excellent location. Quiet neighborhood location. Steps away from the bus, grocery store, various shops and restaurants. The hotel was very unique. Our room was amazing and had a waterfront view. We enjoyed watching all of the boats going by and locals swimming and participating in water sports. The lobby area was warm and inviting and always had people socializing. One evening we decided to make something in our kitchen but couldn’t figure out how to use the oven. I went to the lobby to ask the staff how to use it and they came to our room to show us. I appreciated him going out of his way to help us. Awesome customer service! I would highly recommend staying here!!"

"Nice hotel but on the wrong side. Dirty streets and homeless outside the hotel. Close to transport. Room was nice and spacious. Did not have breakfast so can’t comment. Ok for a short stay. Didn’t like the dark bathroom."

"Lovely hostel in a quiter part of Amsterdam, yet a quick ferry ride away from city center. I stayed in a private twin room with a friend, and it was perfect for us. Staff was very kind and helpful. Clean room and comfortable beds. Perfect for our trip!"
