“This is the place to stay if you come to Ella. It could not have been more perfect. You wake up to stunning views of the mountains and the most delicious homemade traditional breakfast. You can walk straight from the home to town or to hikes and popular sights. It keeps you out of the hustle and bustle of the street so you can really enjoy your stay. 11/10, loved my stay here. If I come back to Ella, I would love to stay again!”

“Hotel is absolutely lovely. Had a great time for 3days. Staffs are so kind and breakfast is amazing. Swimming pool has an amazing view. Also the rooms. Would love to visit here again. Thank you.”

“Buona struttura, ottimo host, molto disponibile e cortese. Colazione tipica. Facilmente raggiungibile a piedi (1km) dalla via principale di Ella.”

“The room was excellent. Had everything I needed. Only thing I would add is an additional plug socket to the room. Melani was phenomenal from the start and throughout, she went above and beyond making sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was made fresh every morning and Melani checked what I wanted and even accommodated things like getting low fat options, which she didn’t need to do. The star of this hotel besides the staff is the view from the balcony! Looking out onto Ella was lovely,...

“We had a lovely stay at Ella Retreat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and included a fridge, kettle, little cooktop and kitchen sink which was handy. We had one of the best breakfasts of our trip here - it was delicious and very generous with portions, with lots of options to choose from. Just look out for the monkeys who might pay you a visit with an eye for your food! Complimentary archery was fun, and we loved the rustic charm of the place. Please note that you can...

“The property didn’t have our booking so after 1/2h waiting around not knowing what was happening, they arranged another room somewhere else for us. The other hotel was much cheaper and not as nice so we agreed as long as we had a compensation for the inconvenience and price difference it was fine. The owner agreed to give us free dinner and breakfast. The next day they gave us the bill for both, plus asked us to pay for the new room threatening to call the police (but I had already paid...

“Indran and John were so kind and helpful. They really made us feel at home. John''s cooking was delicious, the view from our balcony was spectacukar, and our room was clean and comfortable. We loved our stay at the Ella Alpine Resort.”

“I loved this hotel it's so good, cheap, comfortable rooms I got the one with balcony and it was amazing i even could see the sunrise in the morning. The staff is amazing and supportive I got everyday bottles of water and good breakfast and even tuk tuk to go everywhere. It's very quiet around and a great walk from the hotel to the main road.”

“This was a very pleasant basic hotel with an extraordinary view of the valley. The staff were super helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. The AC worked well. The only catch was when the generator didn’t work during a brief brownout.”

“Clean room, friendly staff, helpful and accommodating. Had the best stay there for my birthday ”

“Great hotel, great service. Other reviews mention good food but to me it was just okay. I got the cheapest room and it was perfect I can’t imagine how the other rooms are. Only negative is we didn’t have a mini fridge .”

“Svårt att hitta till hotellet då namnet Glen Rock Ella inte finns på några skyltar. ”

“Ants in the beds and everywhere . Bedsheets are not clean . It’s a terrible experience for us”
