“Great place, convenient to all the fun Edgartown restaurants and shops. Property looks to be newly renovated, very clean and nice staff. Great light breakfast options every morning, with coffee and tea. Loved the warm fresh cookies in the afternoon and night. First time staying there and would definitely recommend.”

“Our stay at Martin House was wonderful! The house is a mixture of antique charm and contemporary decor. Our room was very homey and comfortable. Our bed was devine with beautiful linens and the best pillows ever! We had a lovely breakfast every morning, hard boiled eggs, pastries, yogurt and fresh fruit. Coffee and tea as well as juice. The absolute best part was we could walk everywhere. We loved our stay at Martin House!”

“I never post reviews on places I stay, but this deserves some attention. It was my error to book with Expedia instead of booking with the inn directly. I also did not realize that I could make specific requests for my stay. So for that I take responsibility. What I don't take responsibility for is the check-in. I felt as if I the guest wasn't truly important enough to engage with. Not a friendly smile or hello.. It was name and here are your keys.. The back patio was a mess from the trees...

“We enjoyed the charm of the inn. Each room had a uniqueness. The staff was very accommodating during all of our interactions. We took stars away because the self service coffee station was not maintained very well. There were shortages of items and at time it wasn’t always clean. Breakfast was not put until 8am which is late if you want to get an early start. Brewed coffee wasn’t available until 8 am either. Earlier than that time, there were only k-cups. The deck is only staffed until 8 pm...

“The hotel is very nice/upscale. However, they lease a downstairs area to a restaurant that they have no control over. Our room was directly on top and music played rather loudly until 10 PM. Nothing to be done! This is a real disadvantage and needs to be considered before considering this hotel.”

“We were four generations checking in and our grandkids had just arrived from Kenya and we're not feeling great. They were very warmly welcomed and they loved the endless hit chocolate and fresh baked cookies at 5 PM every day. Sharon and Anne Marie were kind, helpful and so sweet to all of us. Sharon helped my 89 year old Mom fund a great history tour that picked her up at the hotel. Having Children's Beach and Playground two blocks away was great. Several us really enjoyed the next door...
