"Very disappointing experience staying at Leeds Marriott Hotel with my family. The room was extremely small, not properly tidy, and not clean at all. Basic things like complimentary water, proper toiletries, and drinking water were missing from the room.
The windows were broken, which made the stay even worse. The biggest issue was accessibility — the lift area is not friendly for pushchairs or wheelchairs. There are stairs before reaching the lift, so families need to physically carry pushchairs or wheelchairs by two people. This is very inconvenient and unacceptable for a family hotel.
Parking was also a nightmare with no proper parking facilities available. On top of that, the WiFi connection was the worst I have ever experienced. I started searching/loading something on the WiFi and literally fell asleep waiting — it still hadn’t properly connected even by the next day.
Overall, a very poor family experience and definitely not what we expected from a Marriott hotel. Would not recommend for families, especially those with children or wheelchair users."
"The hotel was beautiful and in a fantastic location close to Leeds train station and the city centre. We couldn’t have asked for more from the staff who were excellent and gave us a stay that exceeded expectations. The breakfast was also delicious."
"The refurbishment of the Met has been well done. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast however was not so good with limited buffet options and not obvious that you can order hot options. The coffee was terrible! The layout for parties is poor as we were met by a very large and moisybcrowd on Friday early evening coming out of the loft making it very difficult to cross the hotel lobby."
"Hotel and room were clean- loved the shower! The only issue but I feel like this is at a lot of hotels was the temperature got too warm at night. Staff was so friendly. "
"Disappointing - room size decent but had to search for kettle, coffee and tea found in a warm wardrobe with milk sachets looked like it hadn't been filled for weeks. Curtains hard to close had to lean on back of sofas to reach.
Breakfast cool hot food, not much choice . Only filter coffee tasted like it had been stood a while and a domestic toaster just the one"
"Room was clean. Breakfast was fresh and replenished quickly. Easy to use coffee machines and could order scrambled or poached eggs. Fried eggs out.
Pool was great "
"We would highly recommend. Great spacious room and ensuite with double shower. Excellent amenities in the room. Very comfortable bed.safe and quiet. Easy parking."
