"The whole place could do with a lick of paint and a bit of modernisation, but nice clean and spacious room, with clean bathroom. Great breakfast with friendly, helpful staff. Nice pool area and big (sports) bar, serving good pub grub. Great sea views from the pool and bar. "

"We had a lovely stay at Amadeus apartments during October half term (2 adults, 2 children). The apartment was clean and had all of the facilities we needed. There was a washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave and large fridge/freezer. The beds were comfy and the showers were good. The location was good, and we had no difficulties with parking. The apartment is in a disc parking zone, but this was no problem because we were out for most of the day, and then there were no parking restrictions after 6pm. We could walk to Tesco Express, and we walked into Douglas easily. Our National Trust cards were accepted at the Manx Heritage sites. We bought a travel card for the steam railway, electric railway, mountain railway and horse drawn trams. The hosts were helpful and easy to contact. We would recommend Amadeus apartments, and would stay here again. "

"The family run Welbeck Hotel was perfect for our short stay on the I.O.M. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and immaculately clean, serviced every day, early access to our rooms was much appreciated. Meals were served in a lovely dining room with a good selection of breakfast options. In our opinion the hotel is worthy of a higher star rating, the fact that it’s a 15min walk in to town was not an issue for us. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend the family run Welbeck hotel, thanks to the family and staff for making our stay so enjoyable."
