Stayed in room 2 that had a private bathroom outside the room but it was very well equipped and is only for the room, robes are provided and it’s close to the room so wasn’t a problem for me at all. "The Helaina is a very high standard of bed and breakfast property. We stayed in a Premium Double room on the top floor. The room was very spacious with an excellent bathroom/shower. This room is reached by 6 flights of stairs of varying lengths (it is on the 3rd floor), so not for the infirm or those with heavy luggage. "Stayed at the city guest for a city break. The location was great just a short walk from the Minster and the city centre. The room we stayed in was small but very homely. It was comfortable and clean. It was also the small touches that were nice, with chocolates and a bottle of water supplied every day. "A very nice and very tidy B&B! The location was perfect for us - we were able to walk all over the old town and it was an easy walk from the train station. Super comfy beds and nice towels. It is an older townhouse with several floors, so no elevator- but that was expected. The hot English Breakfast was very good!"

Lots of parking right outside (ensure to request a virtual parking permit in advance) - fabulously clean, room with an incredibly comfy bed (really important to both of us due to back issues). Shared bathroom no issues, spotless and no waits even tho the property was fully booked. Breakfast absolutely fantastic, people lovely, and a very short walk to the city walls thru the park.
