"This stay was a sleepover stop on a journey north. I arrived at 21:00 and left at 07:30. It is part of a motorway service area so I would not stay here for any other reason. It did provide a good night's sleep and the room was comfortable. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast, if taken, would be at the adjoining service centre facilities, not at the hotel. This did not appeal to me and I went without.
It was worth the price I paid I would say and I would stop there again."
"Room was really spacious and the seat in the shower is ingenious although the shower had no shower gel, had to look for someone at breakfast as they were in the bar area other than that had a nice stay to do Crichton parkrun, nice breakfast afterwards"
"Beautiful & impressive stately hotel in lovely surroundings , with well-appointed & well-furnished rooms. Got a very friendly welcome, and had requested a room with a view , if possible - and happily got one over looking the rolling countryside towards the Solway Firth. Breakfast was delicious, staff were very attentive, and meal set us up for our journey into the Lake District."
