“From our arrival til our departure, the service at Mount Juilet was impeccable. The Hotel itself is beautiful with spacious well decorated rooms, well thought out amenities and a lovely spa. We both enjoyed massages (some of the best we have had). Meals in The Hound were tasty and well priced. The Saddle bar has a lovely atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed meeting Sean who offers historical talks on tbe estate on Thursday and Sunday evenings. “Upon arrival, we were sent to a room without power and a leak in the bathroom. The stafd had shut off the power because of the leak so they knew about it but put us in the room anyways. When we were moved, they provided us with a free drink voucher which was nice but when we tried to use it to order a pint, they only brought us a half pint. When eating at their restaurant, their cesaer salad included carrots which I am allergic to. This was not listed under the allergens or in the menu...

“The location and staff were fine, but the bed completely ruined my stay. The mattress was unbelievably hard—so hard that it honestly felt like sleeping on the floor. I understand some people like a firm bed, but this had almost no cushioning at all. I woke up sore and uncomfortable, and it made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. A hotel bed should be comfortable, and unfortunately this one was anything but.”
