"The Retro Cowboy Villa was perfect for what we needed. Residential area but super convenient to many bars, restaurants as well as downtown and the airport.
Space was well decorated and had all the amenities we needed. The backyard was also phenomenal - great hang out space, amazing hot tub and cute lighting made the space picture perfect.
We ran into a few cleaning and sanitation issues while onsite which we reported to the host for future travelers and they mentioned they recently switched...

"i live about 30 miles north but stay in this hotel when i visit for a show. this place is stupid crazy close to (dirty) 6th st. i like this hotel because it is constantly perfect, affordable, and just a splash of retro. safe parking underneath. great pool and i enjoy waking up to have coffee on the patio. on a side note, i inadvertently booked a "cabin" room one time. it was super cheap, but i missed the small print. smaller room, but you utilize an english style community bathroom. keep that in mind if you are on a budget. likely wouldn't do it again, but it was an experience. oh.....make sure you eat brunch at the restaurant thats attached. great food, service, price and selection. i will be back. "
"I had an amazing stay at this location, it exceeded my expectations. It’s located close enough to downtown and yet not square in the middle of the city. I took a great walk down to a park that is a few blocks away through a very peaceful neighborhood with many food options located relatively close.
I would certainly come back next time I am in Austin!"
