Hotel Eyvindará
8/10 Good
"This was a nice and simple place to stay for 1 night. We did not get a cottage, but stayed in the hotel section. The rooms were bare, but good enough - clean and everything was working. The manager was really nice. The hot tubs were lovely, but the sauna was not working. The buffet was good and well worth the stay. It is only 5 minutes away from the town."

"Great hotel"
Blábjörg Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Great place to stay while visiting the East side of Iceland. We happened to arrive on the day of a rain storm so having access to the spa facilities saved the day, even though it costs extra we found it to be worth it. The staff was very welcoming and the included breakfast was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again if in the area."
Hotel 1001 Nott

Eyjólfsstaðir Guesthouse Egilsstaðir

"Stayed here for one night as part of our Ring Road trip and it was fine for that. Walls were really thin, guests were quiet but could hear water run every time toilet was flushed. Place had a lot of rooms so lots of people coming in and out and moving around and our room was first floor right by the door. Rooms are scarce in the area so its served its purpose but was one of our least liked places we stayed. Probably bottom one or two places out of our 9 day trip."
