“Great spot for seeing wildlife out the window. We saw 2 kangaroos and a black snake. The rooms aren’t very sound proofed so we could hear those in the room next to us showering and listening to music which is a shame as it’s so peaceful in the surrounding area. ”

“We have stayed at Alpine River Cottages many times over the years, and for a good reason. The location is central to both Bright and Myrtleford, without the business of either town. The cottages overlook the tranquil Ovens River, where in Summer you can swim and enjoy the natural surrounds. “Location was close walk to beach, streets were dark on walk home. Very friendly staff. Our room did not look like the online pics, I thought we would have a little cabin-like room however we had a room in a shared building so was loud in the morning due to traffic. ”

“The bush room was very comfortable and I'm sorry we weren't able to see it in the daylight as I think the views from the little outside balcony would have been brilliant. (arrived late and off before dawn for the Anzac service). A little care to be taken going down the steps to use the bathroom in the main house, (as I said it was dark) but otherwise all good and suited our needs. Thankyou to Grant for picking us up at the station as the train was very delayed.”
