We had a wonderful stay at this ski lodge! The location was fantastic! close to everything we needed and perfect for enjoying the snow. The hot breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing and a great way to start the day. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming. Highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great food, a convenient location, and genuinely wonderful hosts. We would definitely stay here again!

Accomodation fit our budget and schedule for a few days. Booking additional car parking is recommended as there was a fair walk from Thredbo with a lot of steps. There is a courtesy bus that we gratefully used after walking Kosciuszko Staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed having snacks and drinks in the lounge with the fire (and world cup tv) The drying room was great as our clothes were very wet

The room was clean and warm, beds were comfortable with crispy clean linen, the shared bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was fantastic. The drying room and ski/board locker was more than satisfactory and on site parking was convenient also the included buffet breakfast was really nice and all staff were friendly and helpful with the owner/manager and his partner/wife being fantastic hosts.

Fabulous stay at Winterhaus. The breakfast daily was so good. Lovely staff - very friendly and helpful with what is on and events to look out for. Very friendly nature.

Fabulous place to stay for some time in the mountains. What made is so special is the wonderful staff: nothing was too much trouble for them, from random food requests, keeping a meal for me out of hours and cooking eggs after I finished my trail run. Best hosts ever!

Conveniently located lodge in the centre of Thredbo. No frills accommodation but clean and comfortable. The lodge host was very welcoming and provided good insights for visiting the mountains. Close to the village pub and restaurants and a perfect place to explore the mountains.

Last-minute booking at a place I didn’t know which turned out to be a pleasant surprise - a clean, friendly ski lodge catering to summer visitors as well. Helpful and hospitable manager. High up in the village so good views from the room.

This hotel is the cheapest (booked a double decker room) I found in the area and I'm really surprised that it is very clean, very comfortable and warm inside the room, the toilet and shower with their warm tiles. Even if I share toilet and shower, it felt like it's my own and it remains clean and dry during my stay. The entertainment room and dining area was all excellent! The fireplace, the bar area with clean wine glasses...i felt really spoiled. They even have daily cooked breakfast for FREE on top of the continental breakfast. I do not have anything bad to say with this property with a very accommodating and approachable owner. I highly recommend this property and if I come back again at Thredbo, this is where I will be staying. I find it rare nowadays to have this kind of service without paying too much money. Well done Winterhaus and thank you very much.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clean and comfortable rooms with heating that is surprisingly efficient. However the bathrooms are tiny and the toilet space doesnt leave much room for movement. The owners were friendly, helpful and cooked a mean breakfast.

My 5 year old daughter and I enjoyed a fantastic stay here. Great accommodation and service. Awesome views and close to bus stop for lift to snow fields. Never waited more than 5 mins for the bus. 5 min walk to centre of Thredbo. Would definately return.

Quaint but cosy stay

Excellent breakfasts, only once had an issue accessing a shared shower (had to go to another floor) and never the toilets. Room was quite small, but it was a single so to be expected. Showing its age, but gives it a quaint feeling. Staff were all lovely. Parking location handy on the Alpine Way. Be sure to book it if you need it. Surprised to see wallabies around the property in the middle of winter!
