"This was a new and unique experience for our family, so some of our experience is a result of lack of understanding and not necessarily negative reflection of the resort.
We’ve been camping before, but did not know if staying in a tipi was a similar experience. A tent is basically sealed on all sides, but the tipi actually was literally open to the elements at the bottom in some places. This wasn’t a problem, we just didn’t realize that. It had just rained before we arrived and although it repels most of the water, some can still get in. Again this wasn’t a problem, just part of the learning experience. The roads on the property are the only thing I might recommend an improvement on. I think they could use more gravel applied. When it rains they don’t provide reliable grip for driving. There were several times I was genuinely concerned I might get stuck as our van was sliding often.
From what we could see, the property looked beautiful, and the staff was pleasant, and helpful. I could see they were working hard to provide a wonderful experience for their guests. Some of the amenities were being renovated, so it was understandable that they weren’t necessarily up to their full standards. We didn’t stay long, but I think we would definitely consider coming back again."
