"Loved the cabin! My only complaint was that the upstairs bed got hot during the night making my daughter uncomfortable. We put the fan up there the second night but it didn’t seem to help. She slept on the loveseat. Everything else we loved! "

"My husband and I visited in celebration of his 40th birthday and we were there two nights at the beginning of December. If you love Christmas like I do, coming during the month of December means you get to see the inn decked out in all its beautiful Christmas finery! LOVED the decorations throughout the communal spaces. The tavern and restaurant on site are wonderful, and the food was DELICIOUS. The staff was nothing but welcoming and warm and the epitome of small-town charm. Everyone we met were friendly and kind. We're already talking about when we'll visit again.
Only downside of our king-sized suite in the historic inn was the sink drained very slowly. I let the front-desk staff know on our way out so it could be fixed for the next guest in the space. Other than that, the suite was lovely and perfect for our stay.
One last thing: so much is within walking distance from the Country Inn. Many restaurants, coffee houses, shops, the Berkeley Springs State Park and the bath houses. We walked everywhere and most places we got to in 7 minutes or less. That close in proximity."
"The staff were amazing, the rooms were very clean, and breakfast was a little skimpy. The only thing I would ask, is please get automatic doors. My mother is in a wheelchair and it was extremely hard to get her in and out of building."
"Our check-in at The Light Horse Inn was easy, the directions were clear and simple. We walked in the entrance where a self serve coffee bar was all set up for us. The Inn was beautifully decorated with period pieces and was spotless. We went up to our room which was very spacious and very comfortable, with a nice large double sink and plenty of towels. Everything was spotless and in its place. A full breakfast is served by the Cheff and there is always coffe available and an ice machine with ice buckets if you bring your own wine to enjoy in your room. We enjoyed going across the parking lot to The Barn where you could get a drink and listen to music. The bartender made me a delicious cranberry mojito and the musicians were playing Irish music which made it hard to sit still. It’s absolutely lovely here and my husband and I look forward to coming back soon."
