"good 3 star hotel. Friendly staff great location close to cathedral/high street. Decent breakfast. accepting its historic status the rooms are bijou, the four poster beds small. Some might like the very soft mattress and deflated pillows but i wasn't one of them."

"The Swan Inn is in an ideal location to all notable amenities within the City of Wells. I found that there were plenty of car parking spaces at the hotel. The rooms within the establishment I feel are dated, windows not opening or closing properly, extractor fan in the bathroom not working, and dated furnishings. However, do not let these minor issues put you off from staying. The staff are excellent, and very attentive, the room’s even thou are dated are comfortable, with great bedding. As stated the location is fabulous. The breakfast here is good quality and there is plenty of choice. I would recommend this hotel, and I will be staying again in the future. Thanks."

It was near to Wells and not too far out from town but rural enough to be peaceful and tranquil. The lodge had everything you needed and the bed was comfy for a good nights sleep that’s all that we could have asked for."
