This contactless motel was very comfortable and quiet. There is an excellent cafe nearby for breakfast. The instructions on the booking website I used to check-in, were confusing, so in the end, the instructions and door code were texted to me. Very simple. When next in the area, I will be back.

I had a lovely stay at HSM. However the rooms I felt were on top of each other and I could hear other people’s comings and goings and I did not feel safe. I travel by myself regularly and I’m not easily frightened. It could have just been the behaviour of people on the night. I had breakfast a couple of doors down High Street and it was delicious! Couldn’t fault it!

Great stay, nice and clean

This hotel has been renovated really well, it’s nicely presented and very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Only downside is onsite parking is a bit tight for large vehicles but there is plenty of parking across the road.

Enjoyed our stay , only suggestion- you need to have a mozzie spray available in the room. Large mozzies especially in bathroom. Really enjoyed breakfast next door at Jonny and Lyle.

I really recommend is very clean good parking, very close to the shops, ect,etc, the only thing i don't like is the carpet, i believe needs to replacing, if i am the owner i will replace the carpets for timber, will looks better and clean, but like i said is recommended.

Great location & a decent room at the right price

This is the second time I've stayed at High Street Motel. I came back because it is in an excellent location, close to everything in town. The unstaffed reception takes some getting used to, but after some phone calls and text messages, I finally got my key code. Noting that this was a last minute booking, so not a regularly timed process for getting the code issued by email.

Unfortunately this is the first time I’ve ever given a poor rating, When I arrived to check in, no staff are on site so your given a code to access your room , on opening the door I was surprised to see a unmade room at 1st I thought I had accidentally gone into someone’s room, I tried to call the number on the reception door several times with no luck & knowing a lot was booked out due to events on in town I was worried..rang one more time and got someone thankgod.. the room was cleaned & we gained access unfortunately it didn’t get much better….the bathroom has Dangerous Black mould, Ill attach a picture.. Shocking bed I felt every spring over 3 nights & the pillows were crap , shower is tiny shower head crap water adjustment awful, a larger group arrived last night in 3/4 rooms they chose to sit directly outside our room smoking /drinking with lights on until midnight! A bit of road noise which does settle down would we stay again NO
