This hotel is about a ten minute walk from Fukui station. It does seem to be an older hotel, but it looks like it has been lovingly taken care of. They are incredibly generous with their offerings to try and enhance their guests experience. Hanamurasaki is beautiful in almost every way. The rooms are huge and gorgeous, everything is spotlessly clean, and the location relative to the river and the rest of town is perfect. This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train). I staid here to be able to visit Daihonzan Eiheiji. The bus to Eiheiji temple is at the transportation center where the Shinkansen and other trains depart.
