The staff were very friendly, the private room was a decent size and clean, the kitchen was big enough for at least 4 people to cook at once. The area was quiet but also central. It was a 10-15min walk from el Centro or downtown. Breakfast was simple but got the job done.
Very clean!! nice atmosphere!!!
Walking distance to bus terminal / supermarket
You can make a seat reservation for bus to Moreno Glacier at the hostel(without extra cost)
Possible to walk to El Calafate downtown(10-15mins), but when late night, there is a part of the way which has no lights
I had an excellent check in reception which i would have rated 5/5 easily. She was the weekend staff and she was very helpful, informative, and pleasant, but the weekdays, morning front desk staff was completely different than all other staffs. He was selective how he relates to the guests. It seems he likes to get acquainted with the females guests more. Both time, i asked for information, it seems he cannot be bother and very short and direct with the information. I asked where i can stroll around town amd he suggested the beach. He causally point I go down the road, and I should get to the beach. Instead, he could've given me direction to the main road where it will lead to the beach, rather i have to asked the locals on the street after I got lost and went into some deadend road. When i checked in, the lady drew on the map the places to eat. Therefore, the rating is dropped 4/5 for poor guest service. I checked out unsatisfied and he knew it...sadly.
Pretty nice hostel, pretty basic but standard breakfast better than other hostels I stayed at in the area. A little expensive for a hostel but again that’s just the price you pay in the southern regions. Nice facility and fast wifi, kitchen was fairly large and lots of space to accommodate guests
Folks was a great place to stay headed to Patagonia. Great service. The management has thought through how to help people feel comfortable while there.
The kitchen is great plenty of room and the common area is large and open.
Super close to the bus terminal which is helpful headed to Patagonia.
Town center is a bit of a walk but there is a path with stairs that was good on the legs in prep for hiking Patagonia!!
I stayed going in and coming out of Patagonia. Both times I got a good nights sleep. The roommates were respectful and friendly.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
It was a temporary problem but the showers did not work and the power was out in my room
This is the best hostel we stayed in the entire trip! The kitchen was well equipped and the rooms were big and super clean. The most friendliest staff Ludege, he was so quick to help us find a baby sitter and did manage to get us on the minitrek in Perito Moreno in a very short notice. I would highly recommend him to book your tours!
