The staff especially Julian and Estaphania were great and very attentive. The pool could use some maintenance and better cleaning. The buffet restaurant needs air conditioning, it’s way too hot to eat a meal in there. Cleaning the rooms should be earlier, they are way understaffed. The service is from 9-5:00 which 5 is way too late. We like to rest before going to dinner. Two times we went back to our room at 4:45 and the room wasn’t serviced. The coffee shop staff member was not very nice. We walked in at 9:00 and she said she didn’t have any more coffee because she was closing soon. The hours of closing was 10:00. The gelato should be free and part of the all inclusive . The Mexican restaurant was closed all week. Glad there was a Mexican fiesta which we did eat some good Mexican food. The waiter working at the Japanese restaurant wasn’t very helpful with the menu. We had questions and he didn’t know how to answer . The black flags should be closer to the Ocean, a lot of people still going to the ocean and it wasn’t safe . We made our stay as best as we could , but we won’t recommend the hotel to friends and family

Clean room, friendly staff, very clean resort

The resort is clean, with beautiful scenery and views, well maintained, food exceeded our expectations as an AI resort. Most of the staff was very friendly, accommodating, kind. We did upgrade to the "premium" all inclusive package as prefer the higher label liquors and the "upgraded" food options, however there were still several exclusions and we were limited on our choices. Unfortunately, reviews that mention the aggressive time share convos at check in, and the feeling that you are "less than" if you are not an owner, are spot on. We were turned away from the "members only" bar, we visited the juice cafe multiple times and it was never open (this was during the stated hours of operation), The "closing tabs" policy that is enforced every hour is something we've never experienced that should be explained during the check in process as it can catch you off guard and be seen as an annoyance. Lastly - on our first night, we were woken up at 230AM to someone not only pounding on our door, but purposely putting their finger over the peep hole when we repeatedly told them to go away and that they had the wrong room - this went on for about 20 minutes, we filed a report the next day. We found out it was a drunk guest (related to a repeat guest) received an apology from the staff that investigated, and nothing more. In that situation, it would have been nice feel that "going above and beyond" service as this set the tone for our entire stay.
