Having stayed at Raffles hotels around the world, I've always loved how each property develops its own unique micro-culture. Raffles Istanbul, however, takes famed Turkish hospitality to a whole new level. Upon my arrival, Mustafa immediately sensed I'd had a long journey and an intense work week. He proactively offered to prepare a bath for me, disappearing only to return 20 minutes later with an indulgent tray of olive soap, essential oils, foot scrubs, and bath salts. After a soothing soak and a quick nap, I felt completely rejuvenated and ready to take on Istanbul! Every morning, Melissa made breakfast feel like a homecoming. Her warmth and wonderful conversations made her feel less like staff and more like a cherished distant cousin. A special shoutout to Deniz at the concierge desk, who saved the day by arranging pharmacy deliveries whenever I needed a quick recovery from a little too much local nightlife!
