“This is an old style cottage in a rural setting, which does'nt have the best access, however once there the location is surrounded by woodland and fields which are pleasant. The Lady of the house is a charming individual who was welcoming. The breakfast catered for dietary needs and was wholesome. In general a comfortable stay with no frills, but enjoyable none the less. We would use Bridge Cottage again if we visited the area.”

“Location was the best thing about our stay, the actual room was more of a place work people stay, very basic and definitely over priced and the parking permits are a bit of a joke as you have to find streets with certain post code and the hope there a spot”

“I found the owner to be kind andchelpful. My thoughts: The Cottage is directly next to a busy road, which l did not know. I had to park in a tiny space in front of the cottage and luckily had a small car, very tight parking with heavy traffic hindering any manourvres. The room and Cottage were quite dated, perfectly clean, but expensive for a basic 1980s type decor. The shower over the bath was either extremely hot or very cold, l tried to find a warm temperature but never did. I was disapointed...

“Really lovely place to stay, lots of nice features - honesty bar with QR code to pay, with range of products including Champagne, also similarly, drinks in room and snacks. Visually, very well designed, boutique experience. I booked late at night after cancelled ferry and was contacted by owner immediately with information re stay.”

“The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late.”
