"This is a really interesting historic hotel. You can tell it’s been around for 100 years but that is definitely part of its charm. I found the premises clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff helpful. Be advised that you’re staying in a 100 year old hotel, so don’t go in expecting it to look like a modern hotel. It still has the amenities of a modern hotel, like WiFi, nice toiletries, a well maintained elevator bank, soft and comfy beds, TVs, etc. It’s insanely reasonable price wise and was a very comfortable stay!"

"First, know it is a motel with doors to the outside, in downtown Phoenix. That was not clear to me from the listing. Didn't feel particularly safe as a woman traveling alone but I was at least on the 2nd floor and not on the street. Stayed here after a canceled flight that was rescheduled for the next morning as airports near airport were full. If this is your situation, it is not the best choice. It is across from a nightclub that was so loud on a Sunday night it sounded like I was in attendance — could sing along with the words to songs if I wanted — until around 3-3:15a.m. When you pull up, the exterior isn't much, and the motel next to it was downright scary looking. The office/checkin area leaves a lot to be desired, bare bones, buzzer, smelled strange. Actual room was clean enough but very simply refurbished, though some effort to give it a little style. Two of four toiletries - shampoo, lotion, hand soup and body wash - in pumps were out. But of course didn't know this until already in the shower. Was fine for a night and I survived but will make it a point to not be back. "

"It was AWFUL. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Bugs, hair, blood, and other fluid stains were on the bedsheets and mattress. Mattresses were torn up. No pillow covers, no covers on the mattresses, cigarette burns and smell even with it being a non smoking room, and a mystery pair of pants were hidden between the mattress and box spring. Everything was dirty. Especially the bathroom. No towels. Shredded mattresses with visible stuffing and metal. Check my google review, the photos are insane. Front desk only said “if it isn’t good enough for you, I’ll move you to another room”— lots of sketchy activities going on outside. It’s DISGUSTING and shouldn’t be running any form of business. Zero stars. I doubt any health inspector has been there in ages. "
