The Querque Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The Querque Hotel was a great experience. It felt like a resort, with the large rooms, comfortable beds and well-kept surroundings, and really loved the sliding doors in the room! The courtyard and seating space definitely added value to the stay. It was quiet, and close to plenty of dining options! The staff were always friendly and easy to interact with and the property was also very pet-friendly! I felt safe going out at all times of day with my pup. There was plenty of parking and it was also easy to find the hotel with quick access to the highways to explore. The one thing I would add is to update breakfast to include some protein choices. I already want to go back!"

"Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Nice desk and ample space in the room. The door didn't close on it's own (Room 326) and the extra lock on top was broken. I got a text about on-line check in to avoid "lines at check-in". I did it, and it was a waste of time. I was in a parking lot of an area to go hiking, and the online check it took 10+ minutes and had so many steps to do. I even had to take a photo of my driver's license and upload it, input my credit card all over again (I prepaid), and answer questions about my rental car, give the dates of my stay all over again. Then when I got to the hotel, I still had to show my credit card and driver's license. Online check-in was just a big time suck, and didn't accomplish anything of merit."

"I booked the property last minute through hotels tonight once I checked in I was greeted with cookies and infused water. The room was clean with a large TV. Most of the hotel was under renovations. They had a small gym available. I woke up too late for breakfast, but all in all a good stay the staff were very very professional and even got me my IHG rewards."

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My main "gripe" was that the only receptionist on duty late in the evening the day I checked in did not know how to get past the "childlock" feature on the microwave in the room which meant eating cold food! She claimed not to have ever heard of that sort of problem reported by any other guests in the past, not sure if she was new or something. This was coming at the end of an already long and stressful day. To cap it all, the batteries in the TV remote were low on power so wouldn't work. At that point, I just gave up and went to bed!"

"Beds seemed fine at first but actually they were really worn out and you sank into them. There was red paint or blood or stains all over the carpet and fold out sofa. Staff was not very friendly and huffed and puffed over giving us extra towels even though we are a family of 6 who booked the largest room and didn't have enough towels. They were also a little rude about us using the pool late even though we were told it was open till 10. Breakfast was very okay. It's a big hotel with a lot of people. Breakfast was busy and the area was too small. 3 hot options, waffles and bread and cereal. Overall I would have expected better for what we paid. It was good enough but for good enough I could have paid $40-$50 less somewhere else."
