Rydges Mount Panorama Bathurst

"Checkin was quick, there weren't alot of people around but it was very good. Room was on level 1 which was a level down from reception with stair access (no lift down to level) which wasn't an issue for us. Room was clean and well presented. No fan in the bathroom which is honestly a silly move but thats just my opinion. Was a very large step up into and out of the bath/shower. Note this was not classed as an accessible room (they have those on other levels). We didn't have shear curtains, only black out ones so to let light in, everyone could see in. Wasn't a major thing but would have been nice for privacy. Good spot for the Panorama Punish run event. Taxi to town was easy and quick too."

"My room was a curious mix - mostly good, with just a little bad... not enough to spoil my stay. The bed was big, clean and reasonably comfy. There was everything you might need to feed yourself - fridge, microwave, cutlery, crockery, tea and coffee, washing-up liquid etc. It was nice to have a bath and shower and - as I was on the ground floor - my own parking spot. The small outdoor swimming pool was a bit cold but I dipped my toes in all the same! The pool had a couple of comfy loungers next to it. Each room had a little table and two chairs outside, which was a nice touch. The only downside to that is that large family groups would congregate and sit around outside someone's room, and chat until late - not great if, like me, you're the guy next door who isn't in the group and wants to get some sleep. The nights were on the cool side and the heating worked well. The worst thing for me was the bathroom, which had ceiling / wall mould in several places, cracked tiles and the enamel peeling off the bath. The bathroom was in serious need of renovations, while the rest of the room was fine. What I didn't know until I booked this stay is that Mudgee is ALWAYS busy with festivals / sporting events / weddings / misc other things, and rooms are (a) hard to find and (b) often expensive. Given that my room was only $140 per night in October, I can't bring myself to criticise it too much... it wasn't perfect but to be fair, it was really good value and I'd go back again."
