“Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. ”

“Ideally situated close to the centre of Berwick Upon Tweed. Excellent value for money. Compact room with small double bed, comfortable enough but a bit creaky. TV, Kettle and fridge in room aswell as a hairdryer. A few minor issues that could be improved upon are; TV is ok if you are connecting somwthing to it but the signal for the digital channels is terrible. There is no mirror next to plug sockets for styling hair etc. There are only 3 parking spaces and when we were there the first night,...

“Beautiful room, real demonstration of how to renovate a Victorian seafront room. Spotless, comfortable, quiet, amazing sea view. Alison and her staff were super-friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast. A perfect base for exploring the area. Only tiny quibble is that the extractor fan in the (otherwise excellent) bathroom is very noisy. Fine as long as you remember to close the bathroom door until the fan stops! ”

“We really loved our overnight stay at The Crown and Kitchen in East Linton. Really cute little place with beautiful room. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend this place. There is a train station in East Linton and only takes 20 minutes away so it’s perfect for a wee day or evening out in Edinburgh if you don’t want to stay in the city itself. ”
