While they can handle basic administrative tasks without issue, they fall far short of global standards when it comes to proactively identifying and resolving customer inconveniences with a welcoming attitude. ​This level of quality and service might pass in a local market, but it is highly uncompetitive in Times Square, an area saturated with major hotel chains. On a final note, from a management perspective, minimizing capital investment might yield short-term profits, but in the long run, the RIU brand will inevitably be stigmatized as a cheap, low-end hotel. ​I strongly advise you to start over with your employee training on a global scale.
