“Clean place but definitely dated. The room is big with a kitchen but maybe that is the problem. The hallways had weird smell and I almost felt like my clothes smelled weird from being there. Sketchy appearing guests, esp for solo traveler. Loud noises of people talking/yelling at night. I was at the end of the hall on the 3rd floor near the stairs, not even by the elevator. Some people didn't even have their doors closed, so sound traveled. Somehow this place has great reviews...I think maybe...

“Worth the money”

“We had requested early check in but never heard back that it was confirmed and apparently it was not. The room was lovely when we got in, great balcony, nice pool space. Loved the breakfast and the seating outside looking at the mountains. Great GF restaurant across the street for pastries and lunch. Very cool art and tile in the bathrooms, it was nice to not be in a basic room and feel more connected to Arizona.”

“I’ve stayed at La Estrella before and had a great experience. This time there were a couple of things that needed attention. The bathroom sink was NOT draining properly, and it seemed to have been in that state for a little while. Also the toilet developed a leak along the floor on the second day of our stay. Unfortunately we were really busy during this visit and didn’t have time to alert staff to the situation earlier in our stay. On check out day, I requested a 1 hour delay because my...
