"We were very impressed how professional, helpful, courteous and friendly the staff are. The hotel itself was spotless, there wasn't one area that was not up to a high standard. Our bedroom, while not the biggest, was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, terrific shower and in-room tea & coffee were supplied daily as were fresh towels. The breakfast was included and it was excellent. A wide range of food, hot drinks and fruit juices were on offer. The hotel has a rooftop bar, sun bathing area and a small pool. Its a great suntrap up there. The hotel is situated at the heart of Valletta. It is a 10min walk from most of the major attractions, restaurants and bars in rhe city centre. The only thing I would tell people to consider is that to walk from the hotel to the main area in Valletta is up a steep hill.If you are a little infirm or unsteady walking uphill, this hotel may not be for you but my wife and I are in our 60s and managed it easily. Taking everything into consideration, I would highly recommend The San Karlu for a stay in Malta."

"Gorgeous building with lovely staff, and our room had a beautiful view of the sea and was so clean and comfortable. Location is also perfect for exploring on foot, access to the bus depot, or easy to grab an uber/taxi."

"We loved the hotel & the central location. It’s on a very busy street that’s full of restaurants and bars. There’s loud music that is muted by the doors and windows except Friday night when we could hear a little music, but it was fine. Every employee we had contact with was helpful & very polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

"Our stay at La Falconeria was absolutely wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is so clean and well organized. The refrigerator and coffee station was refreshed each day. We loved the Maltese balcony in our room. When the windows were closed it was so quiet for a good might sleep. "

"Great location"

"It is a great place in great location however the hotel is tired especially for a very expensive terrace room. It is stuck in a time warp and worn out - bed, chairs carpets. The staff in the bars were very slow and poor, particularly at the poolside bar. The addition of a shuttle bus up the hill is great unless 8 Americans want to pile in as well and were abbusive to us and the driver. For 400 euros a night I also expected breakfast!!"
