Excellent room with beach and sea view, right opposite the excellent market place, other shops and cafes restaurants close by. Have stayed in other hotels nearby, but this one is best value. No USB sockets , so take an adapter.
Dirty and nasty. At the check in, they said that our room was one of the best in the hotel. We spent 7 days at it. Our room was not even sweep once! The shower was nesty! A lot of hair from previous guests, the shower glass and the mirrors were dirty. The bath towels were over used and very close to sandpaper.
The pool was very nice and the staff were totally on point throughout the place. Unfortunately, the room was equipped with the loudest air conditioner and longest refilling toilet tank I've ever personally witnessed, which made it difficult to sleep between the two (literally and figuratively speaking). The toilet flush button eventually got stuck, so I let them know at the desk when I was heading out, with the hopes that their fix would also end its lengthy tank fill time. It did not. The switch for the air con didn't work either. Not only was it 30 decibels too loud to serve as background noise while trying to get to sleep; I had to leave the room to make calls. Room was also equipped with circa 1920 safe. Was just some box with a hole in the top for something to slot in and lock it, I presume, but that something was nowhere to be found in the room, so had to take my valuables with me, which obviously isn't ideal given the city's reputation for muggings etc. Lastly, there was a towel shoved under the mattress. I wasn't brave enough to inspect it, so maybe it was totally clean. Instead, I just shifted the mattress back and forth to flatten out the slope it was making the mattress form, washed my hands, and headed for a Boteca to drown the thought in gin and tonic. Place would be getting 1-star from me, if it wasn't for the helpful staff.
I liked the breakfast and the main entrance.I did not like the room that I was .
4th floor, halls with a dirty carpet. The room bathroom dirty and mildew on the shower, the bathroom floor was dirty. Mirror in the bathroom needed repair. I was very disappointed. Great location. Easy to get a taxi or uber.
Our first room had a great view but ZERO A/C - Moved us to another room - good view mediocre A/C. Comfort not good because of mediocre A/C - breakfast subpar - Said we had wi-fi - This did not work at all. Very loud up till about 11pm every night. Elevators buttons didn't light up, floor display panel broken. Pool area was big, but tiles were all broken. I felt like this was a very low end hotel. Room was clean but the hallways were dirty. The employees were very helpful and nice, but the Hotel needs a major over haul,

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I have been staying at this hotel for 20 years, and every year, the condition gets worse. The rooms are very old and tired and in need of renovation, as they haven't done anything to the rooms in the 20 years I have been going there. The swimming pool is not working and is closed, I was told that is has been out of commission for 7 months now, and they still haven't fixed it. But they will charge you extra for a room with a pool view that is closed, what a joke! They have now closed the restaurant, and they are now serving the breakfast in a back room on the floor above. The breakfast at the hotel was once good, but now they have cheaped out on everything with not that many choices, they even water down the scrambled eggs to a point that it is just a sloppy soup that you almost need a spoon to eat it with! There is always at least 1 of the elevators out of order, I was coming from the 2nd floor to the lobby when I got stuck in the elevator. The elevator was stuck about 3 feet from the lobby floor and had no ventilation, I tried to push the alarm button, but it didn't work, and there was no telephone in the elevator either to alert someone that I was stuck in the elevator, which was a little scary! I managed to pry the inside door open and noticed the cables that carry the elevator from floor to floor were in very poor condition and frayed, just an accident waiting to happen. I found a latch on the outer door, and I was able to pry that door open just enough to squeeze through

O hotel fica no point da Beira Mar, de frente para a praia e com possibilidade de fazer tudo a pé.
Um ponto de destaque é a piscina morna, otima para ficar até a noite. Café da manhã bom tambem
