Nice hotel, not really value for money ie no in room coffee machine. Swimming pool open late and closes early. Big difference if you get a room in the old villa versus the new building.

Stunning grounds and hotel. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Great breakfasts. We had a toddler and staff were understanding and gracious. Improvements: I have long legs and it’s hard to shave in a narrow shower without a step. I put the trash can in the shower to improvise and avoid cutting myself or having conditioner run into my eyes. Also, the beach lanai charges even guests exorbitantly and requires a “tent” rental just to enjoy the pool with a child friendly shallow and quick dip in Mediterranean.

This Hotel is in a good location if you are going to Twiga, but far away from shopping. Get some bikes if you stay here and everything is in range. I stayed in the back building on 2nd floor and unfortunately you can hear the door open and close every time and footsteps etc. I got a wraparound balcony with extra room and it was super spacious and clean. The 2nd bathroom had a small bathtub which was good for our child. The property is clean, the staff is amazing and the resort is beautiful. The bar is mostly vacant and unfortunately not well attended for some reason. The breakfasts were good but not great. Overall the hotel was overpriced but I did get the biggest room during a busy weekend. Also, the room was super bright. They had blackout curtains in the spare room but the main bedrooom had a white curtain that allowed light to pass through from hall outdoor light. Also, the staff is super nice and will drive you and pick you up. The beds are not that comfy and I suggest they upgrade their bedding to a Marriott type pillows and comforter set.

Recently returned from a 5 night stay and had a wonderful experience, the entire setting is magical. The property is like a fairytale storybook with gardens of flowers, botanical beauty abounds with century old Cypress trees set back from the road. There are bikes available, a hotel shuttle, parking for hotel guests, EV charging which worked for us. Our room was great, it had a very large balcony! The Hotel breakfast was one of the best I have had in all of Italy ranks in the top 5. The only downside is the Beach experience, they treat it as a business for their guests rather than an amenity. It was disconcerting since we found it to be nearly 1/4 in use meaning practically empty. This is probably a result of their policy to not rent out chairs for a 1/2 day which does not make sense. We spent our mornings playing tennis nearby. They do not have a court on the hotel grounds. The location was extremly convenient and the shopping was terrific in the centro historico. Double check the concierge's recommended list of Osteria's since we found several not to be very special or good. I think that this Hotel is a place that I found to be very special with warm vibes and I will be returning. We loved it!

We don’t have enough wonderful things to say about our stay here. It was the final of our three stays in Italy and it was perfect in every way. The hotel grounds for starters are immaculate and expansive. All the plants and trees are grown in and so well taken care of. Parking was easy and our luggage was taken up to the room right away. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful as was the on demand hotel shuttle that takes you to town whenever you want. Our suite was spacious with a large wrap around balcony which we enjoyed. The breakfast was delicious and full of fresh and local options. The dinner and lunch were amazing as well. The hotel boasts one of the nicer gyms we have seen with brand new Technogym equipment. And finally, the beach club is a must. An easy walk from the main hotel and it has a wonderful restaurant which also offers delivery to your cabana. The grounds on the beach again were immaculate. We will definitely stay here again.

I chose this hotel based on a friend’s recommendation, mainly because of its private beach. What I didn’t expect was that access to the beach comes with very steep extra charges — sunbeds start at €150 per day depending on their location. When you add this to the already high room rates, the value just doesn’t add up. Reaching the beach is also inconvenient: you have to walk or get a cart across the street, which takes away from the “private beach” appeal. Once there, the food at the beach bar was disappointing and well below expectations. On the positive side, the hotel itself is stylish, the décor is beautiful, and the breakfast was excellent. However, our room was extremely small — we could barely open our suitcases — and the hotel layout feels scattered and oddly designed. Several other travelers told us that there are very good hotels right on the beach, closer to the city center, and at much more reasonable prices. Overall, hotel Augustus is chic and visually impressive, but between the cramped rooms, scattered design, hidden costs, and underwhelming beach experience, it doesn’t live up to what you pay.

Service war sehr gut, vir allem Emanuele, Sara, Francesca und Edoardo. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, leider ist die Infrastruktur schon etwas veraltet und erscheint abgenutzt. Das Essen im Restaurant war hervorragend.

Nice hotel and property. BUT the rooms are 50 years outdated. The bed was rock hard. The sheets /duvet is a floral table cloth from 1980. It’s amazing they charge so much. They spend tons on the grounds, and resto and everything else. And it feels and looks like your sleeping on your grandmas spare bedroom. If they can figure this out I would have given it 4 stars.

Hotel splendido esternamente, immerso nel verde perfettamente curato. Le camere sono belle ma un po' datate. Non riesco a dare il massimo dei voti ad una camera senza bidet. Infine non avevamo con noi il dentifricio e abbiamo richiesto un "kit denti" alla reception ma ci hanno risposto che non era disponibile. La spiaggia magnifica e il personale molto professionale ed educato. Da provare ovviamente.

No where on the website was it mentioned that it would be €100-€200 a day for a sunbed on the beach. We chose this hotel specifically as the final 2 days of our honeymoon where we had been travelling around northern Italy so we could relax on the beach. The alternative was a small shady pool. The rooms at night were also incredibly loud - every time someone walked upstairs it would wake us up. One particularly bad instance was relentless at 5am. On a positive note - Vittoria on reception and Andrea in the bar were both outstanding hosts.

Some issues

Nice hotel well located. Unfortunately beach isn’t included and fairly expensive and they didn’t have any bikes available which is kind of a must for forte dei marmi. Beside that breakfast is top notch and the hotel is very nice and clean.
