Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was pretty big, clean, and had a nice view of the outside. The location was very convenient since it's a few minutes from Fukui station. I highly recommend if you plan to stay at Fukui!
Really amazing hotel. Convenient to town center and train station and local shops. Staff is super super nice, room was great, nothing to complain about. If I were in Fukui again I would stay here without a doubt.

the room was good value for money. good bed, good bathroom and close to the station. the only complaint is the air conditioning system... when the temperature outside drops below 10C the room gets cold and there does not seem to be a heating system.

Staffs are so nice, and you can keep your lugguage up to 2 hours after check out for free. But location isn’t good enough. Convenience stores and reustaurants kinda far away from here.
This hotel is about a ten minute walk from Fukui station. It does seem to be an older hotel, but it looks like it has been lovingly taken care of. They are incredibly generous with their offerings to try and enhance their guests experience. There is a shampoo/conditioner/body soap bar where you can get a little plastic container to bring one of the items you want to try up to your room. There is also already shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, and a toothbrush and toothpaste set per person. If you should need anything else, they do also have an amenity bar with the shampoo bar. Includes things like, mouth wash, hair oil, hand lotion, washing towel, etc...The pillows are a bit flat, but I did see what looked like a pillow bar in the reception area where you could choose a pillow that fits your tastes. (I just folded my pillow). If you are traveling with a friend like I was and a bit shy about using the bathroom, there is a bathroom on the first floor. It is older and you do have to technically step outside to get to them, but they are an option. Also the park next to the hotel has really nice bathrooms. There is also a little convenience store near the reception desk as well. Reception wasn't super friendly, but that might just be because they were shy about using English. Which is fine. I wasn't there to make best friends, just to get my room key. They were still professional. Overall, I would still stay here again if in the area.
Old school system - you gotta insert the card key into a slot to activate the lights and AC.
Only one card was provided for 2 people in the room. When my son was sleeping, I couldn't take a walk outside as it would stop the AC if I take the key with me.

Disliked: Amenities
The hotel is tired . It is possibly 30 years old (?) judging from the curtains.
No parking at the hotel itself but you can park in any of the 3 city carparks which are close and receive a discount when presenting your ticket at reception.
This is our 8th Japanese hotel in 6 weeks and by far the worst.
The room smelled of cigarettes ( asked for no smoking) bathroom is old and had black mould on tiles. Overall it was a 2 star. .at most
Hôtel bien situé, calme, la vue de la chambre était très jolie avec vue sur les montagnes.
Le seul point négatif, la taille de ma chambre était un peu petite, c'était compliqué de laisser ma grande valise ouverte.
Sinon je recommande.
