“First time ever we cut our losses and boarded a flight home 60 hours after arrival. This property high in the hills over a motorway in an area with few pavements which where not being dug up was a total rip off. We were expected to know it was up in the winding hills with 24/7 noise from the motorway and nearest supermarket 45 minute walk away. A taxi back in from there cost €15. “1st trip 2 stunning Madeira, organised accommodation ( flight & rental car) 2 weeks b4 arriving. The new villa is very spacious for 6 (no single beds). Kitchen & 2.5 bathrms are well equipped mostly (needs corkscrew, colander, more towels, outdoor furniture, but had dishwasher & laundry tablets). Expedia shows the villa in Funchal (it is not).
