Weekend Visit
Warm welcome to the hotel. Clean, warm and comfortable. 24hr reception was very welcome and the staff were friendly. Great shower. Would definitely stop again.

It was comfortable, clean and everything you want from an affordable hotel close to all the relevant amenities in Gdansk. Staff were always on hand to help, and were very friendly. All round, fabulous value.

Steps away from the river walk
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. The first thing that struck me was the impeccable cleanliness of the entire property. It was evident that the staff took great pride in maintaining a spotless environment, and this made my stay incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location was truly amazing. It was conveniently situated near all the major attractions I wanted to visit, making it effortless to explore the city. Whether I needed to catch a subway or walk to a nearby restaurant, everything was within easy reach. Speaking of the staff, they were exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout my stay. They went out of their way to assist with any questions or requests I had, making me feel valued as a guest. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch to the overall experience. A delicious breakfast was served in the morning. The variety of options catered to different tastes, and the food was fresh and well-prepared. It was the perfect way to start my day before heading out to explore the city. This hotel offers a fantastic location, attentive staff, and delightful breakfast, it truly stands out as a wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Really spacious clean rooms. Welcoming reception. Ideal location. Note there are a number of steep steps at the front so not suitable if you wheelchair or issue with steps.

All reception staff very helpful and efficient. They all spoke good English. We had a triple attic room which was spacious , quiet, and comfortable. Always had decent quantities and pressure of water. The small boutique hotel offers a very good breakfast which we liked, but one can opt out of that if breakfast is not your thing. Hotel is well positioned for the water front just a couple of hundred metres to walk -and so it is within easy reach whilst away from the hustle & bustle. It is around a 15 minute walk in the other direction to the main train station. Basic tourist information is available at the hotel, and unfortunately there is not much more at the Gdansk tourist offices which seem more willing to sell something to you than provide tourist info. The giant St John's church next door is impressive. Thankfully it is little used as a church as such so the bells do not ring... it does have events and is geared up for various sorts of small concerts/ theatre. Virtually all the touristy things, and shops are walkable from the hotel and teh hotel reception staff will give advice and book things for you - including train tickets should you wish to go further afield. We visited Malbork Castle on one train (~30mins away) and Torun medieval city (~2.5hrs away), both highly recommended inexpensive train trips. We think Gdansk offers a lot for tourists and likely has something for every taste and the Celestin Residence is a good base for your trip in our opinion.

Really enjoyed the Celestin. Great value for money. Nice-sized, comfortable room. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. If you want a cool room, avoid the top floor. For quiet, avoid rooms facing the main street. The wifi worked well, too

Could not be better.
Very kind and helpful staff that will help and make your stay pleasant, doing everything to make you happy. Clean and nicely decorated rooms. The hotel itself is situated in the best possible place. Close to restaurants, attractions and water.

This hotel is in a quiet area, but very close to the city center. It is located in a historic building that housed St John's school in the past centuries. Beautiful, historic interiors, friendly staff. Breakfast is optional for guests; it is delicious and overall a great deal. You will get the staples like scrambled eggs, and braised Polish smoked sausages, but also deviled eggs, several varieties of salads, great Polish cold cuts, wonderful bread. There are also options for people with a sweet tooth in the morning: Sweet quark, jams, several types of muesli and yogurt. Do yourself a service and stay away from franchises, when you have an option like this.

A great place to stay!
This establishment is in the old town, in the heart of city of Gdansk. You have plenty of restaurants, clubs and cafes around. And a very close to the old city market (Hala Targowa). A receptionists were very helpful (you can book a taxi or a morning call). There is an ATM in the basement and exchange bureau as well. A highly recommended place!

Great location, but…
The ad said laundry facilities, but they don’t have washers for guests to use. This was very disappointing as I picked the hotel for this reason. However, the location is great and the staff friendly. Additionally, the room was not cleaned daily.

It was very central, rooms are small but clean when you arrive. The only downside was, we were there for three days and I had ring reception for a change of towels

Lovely hotel!
What a lovely hotel! Ideal location. 5 minutes to water front, 20 minutes from main train station. Main Street in Old Town 5-10 minutes walk away. Friendly and helpful reception staff. We had a triple room and had plenty of space and it was very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
